The Ronald McDonald
House(s) in Philadelphia

Toy Trains In Motion (TTIM) set up the first toy train display at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in 1988. In 1996, the train display was moved to the new addition and is still in use. These toy trains are operational 24/7 - 365 days by the use of timers and relays. No direct supervision is needed for this display. Last year, the second Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House was opened at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and TTIM is in the process of building its second RMH toy train display in Phila.

The Smile Train is a charity that helps children with a cleft lip or palate. 100% of the donations received by The Smile Train go towards helping these children. 0% goes towards administration or fund raising. TTIM started supporting The Smile Train after Paul Fenn learned about the cleft lip problem from a co-worker. Paul, being a toy train collector, saw the logo of The Smile Train and decided to start collecting for The Smile Train at toy train shows.

Hot Rods joined the train show in 2008 as a result of Pat Ciambrello, who is a muscle car enthusiast, suggesting to Paul that they do a combined toy train show and car show. The show went very well last year and now we have our 2nd annual Rail & Rods Show. Paul’s wife, Rosanne, came up with the name Rails & Rods.
